The Opportunity
The Raw Material Development and Approval team seeks a highly motivated and hands-on associate to support the approval of alternate sources for established non-compounding raw materials utilizing standard processes (addressing current and future needs) and the administration of material specifications.
Responsibilities:

Provide support to internal departments including purchasing, quality, tire engineering, and compounding.- Design laboratory studies to evaluate non-compounding raw materials and interpret the results based on the underlying properties of the materials being studied.
- Administration (creation/Revision/Transfer) of the material specification.
- Communication and collaboration with material and reinforcement teams, suppliers, procurement and quality/manufacturing to ensure successful development and technology transfer.
To join our team, you will need:
Education:
Bachelor or Master in chemical engineering, material science, or chemistry.
Languages:
English is a must. Any other (European) language will be considered as an asset.
Experience:
3-5 years of proven experience in manufacturing (mixing and preparation in a tire plant) is preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with rubber industry is desired
- Ability to work in teams and with minimal supervision; Must be organized, detail oriented
- Open minded, optimistic, and collaborative with a strong sense of urgency
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task
- Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel/Powerpoint
