about the role
The GEC Operations team is responsible for delivering best in class operational support to the Guest Support organization. The team acts as liaisons between SSC, Retail Operations, GEC Support Roles, and Location Managers to deliver key organizational priorities, programs and objectives. The team is responsible for Initiative Planning, Operational Excellence, and Internal Communications. The team is responsible for crafting clear and engaging communications for the NA Guest Support team that cover a wide range of subjects and channels. The team ensures that the right internal communications are delivered in the right format and at the right time to support Guest Support educators. The team is responsible for change management, effective roll-out of initiatives, communications, and information that the Guest Support teams need to know in order to run their business.
a day in the life:
- Manages and updates GEC Communications Request Smartsheet, as necessary, tracking individual workload and projects as well as monitoring team workload.
- Monitors Internal Communications metrics and channels, using tools such as PowerBI and Smartsheet, and reports on these to the Internal Communicatiosn team and key stakeholders as necessary.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners across Guest Support, SSC, and Retail orgs to build optimal communications plan for various projects, managing multiple projects at one time, and supporting communications requests.
- Organize and synthesize information from mutliple sources (e.g., email, Comms Request form, meetings, chat, youlu, etc.) into communications to support the Guest Support org, considering various audiences and outlets.
- Build and optimize communications tailored to various GEC Communications systems (e.g., Poppulo email, Teams, Zipline, etc.)
- Edit communications from GEC Communications and Guest Support teams before publishing, considering Global Brand Voice Guidelines, rules of grammar, GEC brand voice, clarity, and impact.
- Identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies in GEC Communications.
- Collaborates with team members to keep GEC Communications calendar up to date and complete.
- Support with creating and submitting communications requests through the intake form, to support team and overall business needs
- Build comprehensive communications using information from various sources, considering multiple channels, audiences, and calendar initiatives
- Contribute to GEC Communications calendar, managing Smartsheet items to keep team and org informed.
- Collect key information to inform communications, asking strategic questions and enrolling team members and partners as necessary
- Contribute to delivery of thoughtful and time relevant communication to Guest Support teams, including translation where relevant
- Represent GEC Communications in meetings with cross-functional partners, speaking to comms strategy and calendar
- Maintain quality of communications by consistently implementing GEC and Global brand voice guidelines, editing for grammar and clarity, monitoring feedback, and ensuring appropriate links.
- Write communications with appropriate and accurate grammar, spelling, punctuation etc., following GEC style guides and luluelmon Brand Voice Guidelines. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, public relations, journalism, business)
- Project Management certification or experience
- 2+ years experience writing and editing in a professional context
- 1+ years experience within an internal communications department preferred
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adept at time management with little oversight
- Excellent written communication skills and strong oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Technologically adept: comfortable in Smartsheets, Microsoft Systems, etc.
- EST time zone coverage preferred
